Cover Critique - Cover art change in 'Percy Jackson' series.

I went to the book store today, and on my favorite shelf saw series of books that were really flashy. It wasn't easy reading the title because everything was so... shiny!

But I realized that it was the 'Percy Jackson' series! I own the original paperback ones. Just one through three, but it didn't look like that.
I couldn't help but be a little disappointed. I really liked the old version.
But the more I look at it, it seems more fit somehow.... hmmmm.....

I really like the new covers! I have a rejuvenated interest in this series because I thought the book was okay but I loved the film! I must get around to reviewing it and posting all the gorgeous stills I managed to get.

One of these days I hope to get back into the groove with my reading. I was up to one a week last year (good for me as it was one a year in 2004).

You liked the film better?
I don't know... I personally didn't think one was better than the other, I stopped in the middle of book 3 and can't seem to pick it up again! worse comes to worse I'll just watch the movies haha

I too, hope you get your groove back with your reading ;-)

Hmmm. No, I wouldn't say I thought the film was better but I wasn't too impressed when I read the books and the film made me realsie what a rich, interesting book it really was. I think sometimes a book might not make an impact because of how you're feeling at the time or because you read a really good one immediately before it.
