I'm so happy to introduce this book I've started reading only today !
I have quite the pile of books on my shelf right now, most of them very highly recommended,
and I'm feeling a little overwhelmed at the moment.
But the first chapter of this book got me hooked !
Only one other book made me feel this way this year, which was  "Incarceron."
The writing is very articulate, and enchanting.
I''m loving every sentence of it.
Which is why it's gosh darn hard to choose just two sentences, so I'm writing a few more.

Queen in Exile  "Queen in Exile" by Donna Hatch

The stranger reached out with his other hand and gently brushed away a tear lingering on Jeniah's cheek. Shocked at the intimacy of his touch, and at the tingles that spiraled outward from it, she caught her breath. No man in Arden would touch her in such a manner. This man dared much. She snatched her hand back and stepped away to disguise the sudden awareness of her own vulnerability, and her elemental awareness of him as a man.

I've been sort of prolonging my " book break" for two weeks now, and I thought I might just relax with something simple and humorous.  That's when I pick this book out.
I normally don't read animal books, they're too damn emotional for me.
But this, I just had to find out.
It's about a cat who lost both his eyes when he was only a week old.
You can't really tell by the picture below, but seriously, he is blind.
But he's the most perkiest, happiest and affectionate cat I've ever read !
I'm only reading like three chapters a day to savour every detail, and it's good !

Homer's Odyssey: A Fearless Feline Tale, or How I Learned about Love and Life with a Blind Wonder Cat  "Homer's Odyssey" by Gwen Cooper

Every leap Homer took was a leap of faith.
Homer was living proof of the adage that fortune favors the brave, that just because you couldn't see that light at the end of the tunnel didn't mean it wasn't there.

I was in need of a fairy tale. You know, when life just seems so hard and confusing,
there is nothing more like reading a sweet and lovely fairy tale to cheer me up.
So, this week I'm reading the "goose girl".
So far, it is very good. I can imagine myself reading this book to my children one day.

The Goose Girl  (The Books of Bayern #1)  "Goose Girl" by Shannon Hale

"I'm such a dunce, truly I am, and I went home that night after we spoke and you rode the horse, and I made that terrible error, made you feel as though I thought you were of less worth than a stone, I'm sure. Well, you know, I felt like a kingly dolt, as I should've."

I've heard great stuff about this book, and his other series called "Uglies"
seemed interesting as well. I'm only on page 78/ 440 so can't tell for sure.
But it certainly is an intriguing world to visit everyday.

Leviathan (Leviathan, #1)  "Leviathan" by Scott Westerfield.

The Leviathan's body was made from the life threads of a whale, but a hundred other species were tangled into its design, countless creatures fitting together like the gears of a stopwatch. Flocks of fabricated birds swarmed around it-scouts, fighters, and preditors to gather food.

I'm always reading more than a book at a time.
And since "Son of Ereubus" by J.S. Chancellor is an ebook,
I'm going to flip through the other one.

Before I Fall  "before I fall" by Lauren Oliver.

"The rain starts coming down harder, rattling through the icy branches, the sound of bone on bone. My chest aches from the cold, and even though I'm moving as fast as I can, my fingers feel numb and i'm having trouble holding on to the flashlight."
