Book Description : At Fairfield High School, on the outskirts of Chicago, everyone knows that south siders and north siders aren't exactly compatible elements. So when head cheerleader Brittany Ellis and gang member Alex Fuentes are forced to be lab partner in chemistry class, the result are bound to be explosive. But neither teen is prepared for the most surprising chemical reaction of all - love. Can they break through the stereotype and misconceptions that threaten to keep them apart? (from Paperback Edition)

My Thoughts : This is the first book since "Twilight" that has made me feel this way.
I feel so much like a girl. I couldn't think of anything else BUT this book for a few days.
Contemplating how it was so deliciously romantic, putting myself in Brittany's (female character) position, picturing Alex (male character) as a real person. You know, all that crazy stuff you do when you irrevocably fall in love with a book and all it's contents.

But I really want people to know that this book is SO MUCH BETTER than "Twilight".
Although I enjoyed immensely reading the series, I hated how the author wrote the book. How Bella was annoyingly clingy and depressive in the second book, where Jacob imprinted on Bella and Edward's baby girl !! I mean how sick was that ?? And when there was either no exciting finish nor a reasonable excuse why, I got really frustrated reading the book. And the writing, oh the writing was, let's just put it nicely and say "not good."

This book is written in both character's POV, getting a chapter each.
So you get to see what Alex is thinking about as well, which is such a treat.
It definitely is not overwhelmed with emotions that you've read before, and the obstacle that separates the two is more down to earth and believable.

Believe me when I say I love this book.
I finished this book about four days ago, and while I write my reviews almost instantly, I couldn't even think about how to express my self in words with this one.
Please check this one out, and although it says that it is a series, the book itself is unique and independent. Although I don't think you will be able to resist reading the second book.  I've already bought the second book and I'm so excited !!! ^_^

Hey Kathryn!
This sounds like an awesome book... especially for it to be better than Twilight. I totally agree with you about that, by the way - there are things about Twilight that are just plain wrong. I think it started off brilliantly but just got more bizarre towards the end.
I'm loving the sound of Perfect Chemistry, the only thing putting me off, though, is the cover! However, after reading your review, I'm certainly willing to give it a go.
Thanks for dropping by my blog, by the way!

I know, some people would get really p*ssed when I critique about "Twilight."
But I'm glad I convinced you of considering the book, and surprised that you don't like the cover ! 'cause I LOVE it !
